I recently photographed a beautiful vacation rental on Whidbey Island that was recently completed. I love capturing the mood of a vacation home in my photographs. While it’s important to show an entire property in the images, you aren’t trying to imagine your furniture in the space. Rather, you want to give your viewer a feeling of what it will be like when they’re relaxing in the home. What the view from the windows looks like, and what it feels like to enjoy the view from the back deck. It’s more about mood than it is about function. I try to communicate those feelings through my photos and make it impossible for someone to browse the listing and then forget about it.
