When Nadia reached out looking for a photoshoot to promote her business, Reset Web Design, I knew that lifestyle branding photos would be a perfect fit. We started brainstorming locations and came up with two great spots in Bellingham. We ended up choosing Makeworth Coffee for our inside photos, and then Western Washington University for some beautiful outdoor photos.
We asked a previous client if he’d be willing to hang out and act like he was in a meeting with Nadia at the coffee shop, and captured great photos of the two of them naturally interacting. I did a little bit of staging just to get the images I wanted, and then gave some direction but let them interact naturally. This led to great smiles and natural expressions which I love in lifestyle sessions.
The great thing about an extended session like this is that we’re able to get those photos that show your potential clients what it actually looks like to do business with you. When they pick up the phone to call, they already know who they’re about to talk to, and what their first meeting with you is going to feel like. My goal is to capture that feeling so you can show people what it’s like.
These lifestyle photos work great on your website giving a clear understanding of who you are. This is something that stock photography can never do! Make people want to call you, and want to go grab a coffee with you from the moment they click on your website.
